Religious education is an ongoing process that involves all
Catholics throughout their lives and benefits the entire community.
Youth Education
The Religious Education Program of St. Clare's Parish seeks to
share the Good News of Jesus Christ with our young people as a way
of supporting family faith formation within the Parish. Classes are
offered for children in kindergarten through Grade 10 and are taught
during the 25 week period of September through April.
Preparation for First Eucharist and First Reconciliation is an
integral part of the Grade 2 program. First Reconciliation is
celebrated in December. First Eucharist is celebrated for those
enrolled in our program on the first Saturdays of May.
Confirmation
preparation is a two-year process that begins in Grade 9 and
culminates with the Sacrament of Confirmation during the Easter
Season for candidates from Grade 10 who have completed the program
requirements.
Our Religious Education Program features the integration of Youth
Ministry for all our young people. There are many programs which
include social and apostolic service opportunities.
Registration for religious education occurs in the fall. New
families may register at any time. Please contact the
Religious Education Office for more information. Training is provided for new
catechists, who are always needed and welcome.
